Which wxdevcpp, gcc/mingw32 version did you use?

wxdevcpp => 6.10.2
gcc => 3.4.2
make => 3.80

Should I upgrade to the 7.0 release?

I have been able to compile in the past (before the ffmpeg changes)

Thanks, Mike

I had the same problems with devcpp 5 and the latest ffmpeg.

So I would try to upgrade to version 7.

What libraries are you using?  I am using the ones from here: http://www.freedrive.com/file/901318,libs-20090721.zip

I see that there are also available here: http://www.sudu.dk/mythtvplayer/files/verytmp/libs_2009071…,  But the versions of the library are different.

I am using 6.10.2 as well and it is working for me.

From the Linker error you posted I would think the problem is somewhere within your MinGW or the configuration of your Dev-Environment since the symbols you are missing belong to the libraries provided by MinGW and are not part of FFMPEG.

I am using MinGW-5.1.4 (including gcc 3.4.5, make 3.81 and lot of libraries).

In the older libs_20090717.zip I used a precompiled ffmpeg. In the later one on freedrive.com I compiled it myself from the latest sources.

I could compile the player using the libraries from here: http://www.freedrive.com/file/900243. With the provided MingW version from wxdevcpp version 7 (gcc 3.4.5, ...) I was able to compile the player "out of the box".

OK got it to work.  I deleted everything and reinstalled 7.0.

The only change that I had to make was in libspark, I was missing ../libs/include/SDL in the includes directories.

@arobro: I found my ./configure command ;-)

used cygwin with MinGW and ./configure --enable-cross-compile --disable-static --enable-shared --enable-w32threads ... I think
