Subject: Scrambled videos
I'm using MythTV Player 0.5.0, I can connect to my MythTV Backend, but I don't see the videos well.
This is a screenshot of the video I see, watching LiveTV and Recordings too:

I tried to install some video codecs but I didn't solve the problem.

Could you help me, please?

Thank you very much!
Bye.

Hmm Fmpeg is used for demuxing, audio and video decoding.  How are you encoding your MythTV video files?  MythTV Player does not currently support software encoded NUV files as these are encoded using the rtjpeg codec. Transcoded NUV files are supported as these are mpeg4.

Install the latest version of DirectX if you haven't done so already.  If this doesn't fix your problem please post your system specs.

I have DirectX 9.0, which should be the latest for Windows XP.
Please note that on another computer I see the videos well in MythTV Player using the same MythTV Backend.
My system specs are the following:

- Motherboard ECS K7SOM+
- AMD Athlon XP 2000+
- SiS 650_651_M650_740 video drivers (integrated VGA card)
- DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
- Windows XP Professional SP2 with all updates installed

Thank you very much for you help!
Bye.

Hi decibel83,

In reading through the other threads here are three ideas to try:

- Upgrade/reinstall you video card driver.  Often the Sis drivers on Windows Update are not the latest.
- Reinstall DirectX
- Look at the log.txt file just after you start playing a recording.  See if you can find any error messages in there.

Good luck!  Let us know how it goes.
