Subject: Still looking for logfiles for this bug?
I just downloaded MythTv Player 0.5.1 - Pre Release 10 and was playing around with it, trying to get it to show the video window on my Tv (connected as an extended desktop) and a pop-up informed me that I had triggered an error you were trying to locate (There videobuffer is full but there is no audio packets). Are you still looking for logfiles for this?

Oh, and is there a way to show MythTV on my TV (secondary display as extended desktop)?

Cheers

BTW. When registering on the forum I got the following message:
"This account is not yet validated. - And this actually cannot be. You should inform the administrator about this!"
Is the "administrator" around here?

To let you know about viewing the TV display on a Secondary Adapter, it is not currently possible. It will only work on your primary display.

Whilst the developer appreciates this as a nice feature, it has to take a back seat to other more pressing issue on the development cycle. And yes it has been raised a number of times before.

Not correct. It works fine with my msi nvidia8600gt oc LCD + tvout setup.

Thanks for the info, I have ATI Radeon 9800 and only get a black screen.

But is your TV setup as a secondary adapter or as a Clone of the LCD?

I've got the TV setup as a secondary display, and as soon as I draw the MythTV player window more than halfway across to the TV it turns black.

I'm gonna have to take back my words for NVIDIA:
Cloned: Primary DVI + TV-Out = Works on both
Dualview: Primary DVI + Secondary VGA = Not working on VGA screen

But as you can read on the developers website it's because of the overlay method used, and there's nothing he can do about it (unless changing rendering method ofcourse). So basicly it's not a bug, just a limitation.

Since I use 3 screens (2 TFT desktop + 1 TV for bed) now I'm gonna have to regret having this limitation as well.

I just got this bug..
If it helps you at all in finding this error, I just want you to know that it's not just MythTV Player that struggles with these files, it's the Mythfrontend as well..  I get this message: "The videobuffer is full but there are no audio packets".. This happens ALL the time when you record an HD show that gets poor reception.. For the most part, MythTV frontend (the real front end on Linux) kind of just lumbers through it, skipping bits and pieces of the video where this occurs, along with a bit of video hiccuping..

But the MythTV Player for Windows aborts playing it all together..  Again, I think this may be due to bad TV reception.. Hopefully that helps in putting you towards finding the right fix.
