No sound in playback

Subject: No sound in playback
Everything started fine with 0.4.2, I can browse & watch video fine, but I do not get any sound out of the playback.

Any suggestions?

I did some testing & I think it must be a codec on this windows machine is missing. I can play the raw files from a file share fine on all my linux systems, but when I try in windows with a variety of players (windows media, divix, winmyth, realplayer, etc) I get no sound for any of them.

Any help appreciated!

Try installing the latest version of DirectX and see if that fixes your problem.  If it does not please provide more details on your configuration (Windows XP?, service pack 3?, audio driver?)
