Feature request- variable speed playback & still frame both directions

Subject: Feature request- variable speed playback & still frame both directions
One thing I sorely miss is the ability to have playback at other than 1x speed in either direction.

Additionally, still frame advance also in either direction.

while on the subject, can a video time clock be added to display video time down to tenths of a second  ie hh:mm:ss.tt?
