I got this error too.  I have Win7 x64 as well.  I run Mythtv Player as administrator.  When I opened up another program that required admin consent is when I got this error.  Sorry, I couldn't upload it right away, had to go afk, and I thought I had to leave the program running.  It's at about the 07:46 timestamp area.

edit to add:  I'm using version 0.7.0 rev 232

another edit:  actually, this is from MythTvPlayer0.7.0-r251-ffmpeg-r24799.zip ..sorry for the confusion

yep.  same problem.  running Vista.  Running as admnistrator also.  Backend is myth 20.2.
using MythTvPlayer0.7.0-r251-ffmpeg-r24799

Where does one find the log.txt file?

I copied the files in the developemnt zip file directly into "c:\program files\MythTv Player"
Not sure that's tghe correct way to install?  Had a previous 0.4.2 install and but uninstalled it first.

On XP with latest stable release 0.7.0, just updated today; like it :)
Player window minimised, double click to select channel for live view, immediatly double click to select another live channel. Select player window from taskbar to view, and, pop.
Hope this helps... repeatability 100% that is, 1 out of 1 ;) will try to reproduce.

Subject: Bug report
Great program, solves one of the big problems I've been having trying to move from linux to this new "Windows" thing.  I'm sure you all know the problem, its so hard to find compatible applications.  Until they sort that out, IMHO, Windows will never be able to properly replace Linux!

Apparently, I've triggered a bug.  I was asked to report it here.  Hope my input helps.

I'm running an Asus P5N-T motherboard, with an intel Q9650 (core 2 quad 3GHz) cpu.  6GB Ram, running Windows 7 Pro, 32 bit (yeah, I know).  Two Nvidia GeForce 9600GT cards driving 3 HP monitors, each running at 1200x1920 (portrait).

When the error happened, I was watching a recording captured from a Hauppauge DVB-T card.  I've not got the details of the recording format to hand.  If that information would be useful, I'd be happy to dig it out and let you know.

One other point... While I was watching the video, I was also playing EVE Online (its great, why not take them up on the free trial </shamelessPlug>).  I had been playing with the graphics turned right down (because of the old graphics cards and the huge resolution), but had just turned them all up to the max to see what happened.  My frame rate dropped to less than 1 FPS, and after stopping for a few seconds, mythtvplayer reported the error.

I attach the log, as requested.  Hope it helps, please contact me if you need any more info.

Once again, thanks for a great program.

One more point...

After the error message, after I'd submitted the report, after closing the error dialogue box...

Double clicking on the video in the recordings list, and moving the slider back to the same point in the recording, resulted in flawless playback of the video from the point I left it.

More props for such a stable program!
