Subject: Full screen control
Some way to control the stream (start, pause, FF, RW, etc) while in full screen should be nice, also a message when it's rebuffering would also come in handy :)

You already have the hotkeys, or do you mean a full-screen GUI?

Concerning the messages it sure would be handy. I think they are more needed than a full-screen GUI. An a fullscreen GUI would take a lot of effort for little gain. (at least, in my point of view... but correct me if you do not share that view ;)
On-Screen-Display for message .. like play, stopped, rebuffering.. etc is quite high on the priority list.

Not a full blown GUI, but enough to at least keep the user informed as to what is going on. I was half-thinking a small GUI for full screen (Like Winamp's, very minimal with some basic controls and only displayed when you move the mouse or press a key). However, I suppose with the hotkeys all that is really needed are the messages.

Actually I was also thinking of a small GUI like the one in winamp, bsplayer,zoomplayer etc. I meant a fullscreen GUI, as in a small GUI for when playing in fullscreen ;) I can see now that that can be interpreted as a mythtfrontend kind of fullscreen GUI ;) The On-Screen-Display (OSD) for showing messages in the video-window is quite high on the priority list. Maybe I should create a poll about most wanted features.
