Cannot init SDL - MythTv Player

Subject: Cannot init SDL

I have a strange problem, but i'm posting here becuase I don't think it's a bug.

I've installed version 0.3.5 on two Dell Laptops (mine & wife's) but I cannot get the player to start on my laptop.

DELL Inspiron 1501 - Works fine
DELL Latitude D620 - Player wont start.

This is the log I'm getting :-

Try to update your video-driver and maybe to reinstall directx. I have experienced this a few times on laptops where the video-driver is often very old.
Which graphic card do you have?

We're deploying D620's at work, so I decided to throw it on one before it was deployed to the user. I starts up, but I don't have a mythtv unit here, so I just have it sitting at the prompt. However, I do have the log, and it appears to get further than pwood999's

If it's any help, this one has the 945 express chipset family with the version 6.14.10.4446 drivers installed
