Subject: LiveTV
Good work Mikkel. I’m waiting for live TV using mythtv backend. Why? We watching TV from satellite and I doesn’t like to have many cables around. Wireless and UTP cables are still around so I want to have another solution. Client server  Another point is that al the clients i used are Windows (XP/VISTA). The most of the games are Windows based and creative X-FI drivers are not available for linux. Of Corse there is mediaportal but they using windows for the backend and my server systems running SuSe 10.X.. There a lot of people to have the same ideas. So bring  this  job to a success and if help is needed let me no. I watching this site

Hi Mikkel,

This mythtv extension is simply incredible.

It's a great "wife proof" piece of code.  My wife always listen tv on her portable.  I will try the new version on a P866mhz and give you some feedback.

I take few minutes to register to write you my satisfaction because  really like MythTvPlayer.

Thanks
Binette

Subject: Possible bug found
Mikkel -

I have noticed an unusual occurrence with 0.3.6pre.  Though it happens intermittently, I haven't been able to figure out the circumstances that cause it.

At startup, the viewer window (sized 1) is off the screen on the upper left.  I can increase the size to find it and move it.  Obviously, the window is never closed in that position.

I am running Windows Vista on a Dell 640m laptop.  I am using the Aero functionality of Vista.

All the best,
Geoff Fox

Subject: display degradation
I've been using the 0.3.5 version for a while now and just installed the 0.3.6 version.   I find that unless
I select the "increase priority" checkbox in the preferences, that I get a significantly worse display.
In particular, I get "jaggy" digital artifacts around the edges of (moving?) objects.   This is on a 1.3Ghz Celeron M
laptop.  With increased priority, 0.3.6 seems to have substantially the same display quality as 0.3.5.

That sounds a bit weird. It should look exactly the same.. It might drop less or more frames than version 0.3.5, but it should not change the quality of the video at all.
Is there any difference in the number of dropped frames when you disable/enable the "increase priority"? (You can see how many frames are dropped in the status window by pressing CTRL+S)

I think that it might be an illusion that there is digital artifacts. Maybe because 0.3.6 is more jaggy on your computer..  On my P3 1 Ghz laptop the performance is much better in 0.3.6... also with "low" priority.
If others are experiencing that version 0.3.6 is more "jaggy" than 0.3.5 then please write here.. My intention was that  0.3.6 should be better in this context.. not worse ;/
