Subject: Volume Control
Hi Mikkel, and thank you, as always, for what you've already done here regardless of what more you choose to do.

I may be missing it, but is there no key-mapped volume control? This would be a very useful feature when watching in full-screen mode. For compatibility with Media Player Classic (my favorite non-mythtv player), I'd vote up-arrow and down-arrow for volume up and down, respectively, and Ctl+M for mute - or allow the user to configure the entire key map (I'd be willing to hand-edit the config.xml file to achieve the latter in the short term.)

Best,
/sritter

Currently, it is not possible to change shortcuts.... except by compiling the player yourself :)

It would be quite easy to implement volume-control, but I am not sure about the shortcuts. In 0.5 I have added two kind of skips.. short and long.. such that left/right is short skips, and up/down is long skips..
How about putting volume on
[ or F10     decrease volume
] or F11     increase volume
| or F9     toggle mute
as in the frontend?

Following the frontend mapping is probably the best approach. If you put that in, it would be great. (And if I ever do  end up recompiling, I'll have a peek at adding that config.xml key map support... :-) )

my recordings have quite low volume mostly (comapred to other windows applications), such as msn when a popup makes a sound its double as loud because i had raised volume just to watch TV..

So heres my feature request:

Is there any possiblity to add a 200% volume maximum, If so, I would very much appreciate it if it could be added in future releases.

I guess it is possible, but it would be a better solution if you increased the volume of your recordings. Are you sure you can't configure mythtv to have higher volume when recording?
I am willing to add a secret option for you in the config-file which boosts the volume by a certain factor. (If the factor becomes to high, the sound will be distorted)

I just managed to get a mythfrontend running inside VMWare:

The volume was raised from 90% to 100% but it's still to low; So I would definitaly love a custom MaxVolume (or something else) tag in the XML file
