This page is outdated. I will update it when I get time.

Future features

The list of wanted features are long and my time valuable so do not expect all the features to be implemented. Please send me requests for features if I forgot any, or if there is any you would value more.
version might include

Major features 

  • The player should be aware of recordings that are currently recording.
  • LiveTv (For MythTv 0.19 and newer).
  • Deinterlazing. I plan to integrate support the filters from DScaler.
  • On Screen Display (OSD). This should show play/paused/time/rebuffering info. Countdown to commercial jump, etc.
  • DirectX videoRender. Currently, overlays are not shown on TVs and secondary monitors.
  • Configurable keybindings.

Minor features

  • MythTv Status window. Free recorders / load / etc.
  • More information in GUI such as video size, framerate, number of audio streams in file.
  • Some kind of 'check for newest version' feature.
  • Register with'mythtv:/ protocol for integration into mythweb.
  • Commandline parameters.
  • Volume control.

Features that are far away

  • Editing. Possibility to edit cutpoints in recordings.
  • Scheduling. Add GUI that allows to search and schedule recordiongs.
  • MythVideo.
  • Increase/decrease playback speed
